Charlie's 1 Mile

Charlie ran in this years Oktoberfest 1 Mile.  Pretty fun.  There was beer drinking by Patrick and I before I had even had coffee that morning.  For Charlie, there was a concert by Eddie Coker.  For Collier, there was cheering brother on.  Fun for the whole family.

Such Cuties

Found this video from back in the day.  I mean, really... they were some cute babies.

Arboretum in October

It's that time again... the pumpkins are out and about at the Arboretum.  Such fun... especially when you go with good friends.

Sunday Funday

One random Sunday, earlier this month, we took the boys to a park downtown and then to the Belmont Hotel for appetizers.  Pretty random, but pretty fun also.  Did you know that every Sunday there is an impromptu jam session at the Belmont Hotel?  Just bring your instrument and join in!  It was a great find.

Beach Trip August 2012

In lieu of attending their first week of school, we went to Florida for a little beach time!  Patrick's parents took us.  We (meaning me, the boys, and Ann) drove 18.5 hours to get to Indian Shores, FL, which is about 20 minutes from Tampa.  I had never been to this part of Florida before and really enjoyed it!  Our house was directly on the beach.  Just lovely.

The boys had a great time.  Charlie was active guy and pretty much stayed in the ocean the whole time "fighting" waves.  When not in the ocean, he was playing baseball or building sandcastles.  Collier was on the move at this point, so he crawled everywhere on the sand and put all sorts of stuff in his mouth.  His favorites were seashells.  Yum!  It was a perfect trip.  Thank you to the Allen's!

Pulling Up

Shortly after Collier turned 9 mths, he began pulling up.  These pictures are from the first day that it happened.  He was pretty proud of himself... until he figured out that he didn't know how to get back down. We went through a 2 week period of him pulling up and then crying until someone came to put him down.  Thankfully, we are now through with that phase.  And now, at 11 mths, he is cruising like no other... walking coming up next!

9 mths

Collier turned 9 mths late August.  It was around this time that he went from pulling himself across the floor to actually crawling with his belly off the ground.  Little man is super fast on all fours!  Shortly after, he began pulling himself up.  Superman Charlie helped himself to jumping off of Collier's rather tall dresser during the photo shoot.

OKC in August

Part of the reason I haven't really blogged since July is because August was spent on the road.  Charlie had no camps and school didn't start until mid-September, so we found ourselves visiting OKC, Shreveport and the beach... twice for me.  Here are some fun pics from the OKC trip:

Some serious dress-up time.  What is that, forks?... In your underwear?

 Fun park in downtown OKC.

Our brood has grown a bit.

Platelet Count #10

Finally!  We are in the "normal" range for Collier's platelet count.  257,000 baby!  I am so happy and relieved.  We have to go back just once more, in 6 mths, to make sure that his ITP isn't one of the 10% cases that reoccurs.  I'm planning on us being in the 90% that stays ITP free forever!

Instagram

Or I should say "Instacrack".  It has sort of replaced all other social media for me.  Blogging, Pinterest, Facebook... all have sort of been on the back burner these past couple of months due to the easiness of Instagram.  It's quick, easy and provides instant gratification.  If your not on it, you should be!  Here are some pics from it...
