What a week!

Patrick, Charlie and I hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year. I would say that I slaved over the meal, but in actuality I made a call to Central Market and the meal was set! Everyone came in town Wednesday evening and the weekend got well under way. My sweet dad treated some of us to an excellent meal at Aurora on Wed. night. It was truly fabulous! On Thursday, we took in a Dallas Cowboys game. We had the Party Pass tickets, which means that you just walk around the stadium and barely see the field. We only stayed for the first half, but it was cool to see the stadium.
After we got home and after the kids went to bed we had our Thanksgiving dinner. Here is a shot of the dinner table: On Friday, we had the Muslow family Christmas since we won't be together over Christmas (Patrick and I will be in Spicewood with the Allen's). Charlie got a rocking horse from Patrick and I, which he LOVES!
And we gave mom and dad a few photos of the kids. Here is one with all 4 babies. Here are Charlie and Cooper each trying to win at "Tug on the Water Bottle". It's fun to see the babies all interacting and playing with one another.
On Saturday, we took the babies to their first SMU game. They loved watching the marching band and people watching. And, people loved watching the trio in their fancy stroller.

The weekend had a lot of this going on:

Feeding four babies takes some effort. And then trying to keep them all 4 in one space is another effort:

The weekend ended with Patrick, Charlie and I going to get our Christmas tree and decorating for Christmas... more on that during the next post! Thank you to all of our family members who came to Dallas for the holidays. Thank you to Aunt Jennifer, Aunt Hellen, mom and dad, Jay and Genna for helping out with the babies all weekend and occasionally babysitting. We all have plenty to be thankful for this holiday season and we are happy that we could spend Thanksgiving all together!

Nine Month Stats

We had our 9 mth. appt. last week. The stats are as follows: weight-21.13 lbs (70th %ile); length- 29.75 in (90th %ile). We have a big boy! Charlie got his H1N1 vaccine, so no pigs will get him. At this time Charlie is scooting quickly by doing his army crawl. He hasn't gotten on all fours yet, but he'll rock back and forth on them. He has 6 teeth and has gotten cleared to eat anything we want to feed him. His favorites are turkey, cheerios, pasta, yogurt and sweet potatoes. He can go from laying down to sitting by himself and needs just a little help to stand up. His new favorite trick is to stand in the bathtub, which I don't think is super funny. He loves to laugh and laugh and loves to be tickled. And, he has learned to kiss me on the cheek, which is so sweet and cute. Happy 9 mths. little man!

Thankswigging

Every year my TCU friends get together for Thankswigging. Everyone is supposed to wear wigs and bring their dishes for the Thanksgiving meal. While the food has gotten progressively better over the years, the wigs have started dwindling. I am thinking that as the kids get older they will be the ones to wear the wigs.
The table is set!

We FINALLY got a picture with all of the kids together (with their dads) I love that Paul is still rockin' the mullet!

Concert Review III: moe.

This past Friday, I attended the moe. concert at Lakewood Theater with Michael and Tandra Toon. The band moe. is from upstate New York and tours extensively throughout the US. Michael and I are big fans. Highlights were “Seat of My Pants”, “Mexico”, “Plane Crash”, and a cover of Paul Simon’s “You Can Call Me Al”.

Dear Ellen,

I really enjoyed playing with you this past weekend. Thank you for coming all the way from KC to visit! Friday night was fun when all of our mommy's friends came over and Saturday morning was even better when I got to play with you! I am so sorry I got sick. Turns out, I have my first ear infection. Which is better than the alternative...my mom was convinced it was swine flu. (I don't know what swine flu is... all I know is that my ear really hurts!) Anyways, here are some fun pictures from the weekend. Hopefully next time I will be able to hang out in Ft. Worth with all of the other fun kids instead of being at home sick! Love, Charlie Here I am... can you tell that I don't feel good?
Hi Ellen!
Here we are playing
Mom wanted me to thank Mrs. Molly for this picture. She thinks it's so cute of me!

Look what I found...

I sat Charlie in his crib to play, left the room for a minute, and when I came back in...

Look how proud he is of himself!! Guess we'll be dropping the crib soon.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Right after Charlie ate he spit up on his shirt. I tried to clean it with water and the marker bled and got onto Charlie's chest. So, the onesie was off before Patrick got home to see it... it was the thought that counts, right?

Thanks to Amanda for letting Charlie crash at your house so that we could go out to dinner for Patrick's birthday! We met the Allen family at Woodfire Kirby's and it was excellent! Happy birthday Patrick!

After Charlie was put to bed, Unlce Michael came over to babysit (thank you Meemoo) so that Patrick and I could go out to eat for his 32nd birthday (which is Wed.).

Window Shopping

A couple of Fridays ago I came home to find that we had an ant problem... a HUGE ant problem. They were all over our window sills in both the office and our bathroom (thank God they were not in Charlie's room). Mounds and mounds of ants... I wish I had a picture just to demonstrate how bad it really was. Long story short, Terminex came out on Tuesday (yes, 5 days after said incident) to spray and found a big ant pile under the window of the bathroom. During those 5 days I used everything Walgreens had to kill ants, which made them run and start to nest in the corner of our bathroom ceiling and under the bathroom mat (GROSS!). The lady at Terminex said that the best thing to kill them was bleach... so I bleached everything... which now means we are going to have to repaint the bathroom due to the paint fading from the bleach. First things first, though... new WINDOWS! On walks/runs I find myself window shopping around the neighborhood. We have decided to go with white windows and they should be in by Thanksgiving! I am super excited. Here is a picture of our house now.

Stay tuned for the new window shot in a couple of weeks!

Halloween

Charlie and I started off our fun filled weekend with a Halloween play date at the Hamilton's house on Friday. Both Charlie and Dean were lions.

All the kiddos!

Charlie got hot, so we changed into our Halloween jon-jon.

We spent the rest of the day just hangin at home.

Charlie got to come sleep in bed with Patrick and I on Saturday morning. And by "sleep", I mean he played while we tried to get some more shut eye.

We headed over to "Oktoberfest for the Breast" on Saturday morning. Great band, jump house, food and drinks. Even Hank got to come! Thanks to the Boyds and Cothern's for hosting such a great party! (Unfortunately, no pictures were taken with our camera).
On Saturday afternoon the Goldman's stopped by before we headed to our neighborhood Halloween party. Here are our good fly-fisherman buddies big Rhodes and little Rhodes:

Charlie ended the day by going to sleep before the first trick-or-treater stopped by!

It was a great first Halloween!!
